Boston is a really cool town. Last year I had a great time at The Ajax Experience enjoying the conference, taking in the city, and meeting a lot of fun people. Have a look at some of my past entries and all of that becomes evident. This year, however, somebody made the boneheaded decision to hold the conference at the airport hotel. Really!? The conference is held in one of this country’s most storied and unique cities and we don’t venture out any farther than the airport!?
If this was a cost-centric decision there are a number of alternatives I propose: any major city on the eastern seaboard that is cheaper than Boston. Since taking in the sights while we’re there was just made that much harder I don’t feel that much would be lost by having the conference anywhere else.
Disappointing. I can come up with no excuse for this.
