A couple of days ago I was asking myself the question, “How in the world do you end up working for the presidential administration?” It was only a passing curiosity, but I had a good laugh at my mental picture: a presidential figure in a seedy back alley wearing a trench coat offering jobs to those lining his pockets with the most cash. “Pssst. Hey buddy, want to buy a job?”
Then today, while randomly browsing change.gov, I came across this page. It turns out that there is a method to the madness—who would have thunk it?
Being curious of the process (as well as possibly being interested) I decided to drop my name in the (hat, wishing well, intertube) just to see what pops out the other end. Honestly, who doesn’t need developers these days? I’ll update as anything interesting happens, but for now, I leave you with the canned email response I received:
